Hope No One's Listening.

Caim sat backstage, behind the stage, with all the lights off. He leaned his head back against the wall as he strummed the strings on his guitar.

Josh was walking around, touring the school when he heard someone strumming a guitar he looked around and finally found who it was. "Uh, hey." he said, looking at the guy.

Caim opened his eyes and looked at the guy standing in the doorway. He blinked once so that his eyes could adjust to the sudden light. Why was this guy here? He didn't say anything, just stared at the guy.

Josh wondered why he didn't say anything. "You don't talk much, do you?"

Caim smirked and ran his finger down the strings. Smart, he thought. Now let's see what he'll do about it.

(dont take it personaly. he does this to every new person he meets)

Josh looked around. "So you play the guitar, right?"

The smirk stayed on his face as he motioned to the instrument, indicating that it was obvious that he played the guitar. He was going to let the guy try two more openers before he left.

(try guessing his name...that usually works)

Josh sighed, this guy was irritating him. "What's your name anyway? Shaun? Brandon?"

The smirk disolved and Caim fixed the guy with a cold stare. "Nice try," he said. He placed the guitar off to the side and stood up, crossing his arms. "What's it do you anyway?"

"So Brandon talks." he chuckled, obviously mocking him. "Just wanted to know who I was talking to. Maybe I've heard of you."

Caim narrowed his eyes. Brandon? What the hell? "I highly doubt that," he replied.

"Well, you must have a name, and until you tell me, I'll just call you Brandon." he always thought the name Brandon was a funny name.

"Caim," he said simply. He didn't want to tell this guy his name, but he was pissing his off too much. "I doubt you'll be able to do anything with it."

"I already have." he looked around. "I've heard about you."

Caim raised an eyebrow. He was surprised, but he didn't show it. "Oh? You have?" He smirked. "May I ask how?"

He wouldn't tell Caim everything, at least for now. He wondered if Caim already knew about Rachel and him. "Rachel told me a bit about you."

His face went blank and he leaned against the wall. "What did she say?" he asked. He didn't mean to pry, but he was curious. Why would Rachel be talking about him?

Saku thought about what he could tell Caim without giving anything away. A bit of lying, or adding to the truth would be fine. "Well, she said you were great, but it seemed like you weren't interested in a relationship." he then wanted to hit himself. If this Caim was smart enough, he would be wondering why Rachel would be saying something like that out of nowhere and pry. He hoped Caim wasn't all that smart though.

Caim nodded. But why the heck would she be telling that kind of stuff to just any old guy? "Why'd she tell you that? Why are you so special?" He drummed his fingers on his arms

Josh cursed in his mind, he should've thought it through some more. He shrugged. "She just told me a little bit after we met." it wasn't a complete lie, but it was pretty obvious he was lying and he knew it.

Caim growled. "Don't lie to me," he hissed. "I hate being played for an idiot."

"I don't think your an idiot, I actually think your kinda smart so far." he tried changing the subject. "So what are your powers?"

"Tatoos," he said. He slipped off his sweater and pulled his shirt off to show the guy all twenty-four tatoos. "I can kill 484 different ways." He crossed his arms before speaking again. "Nice try. I dont get distracted that easily. People dont just talk about others for no reason. Tell me why Rachel was talking about me."

A lie popped into Josh's mind. He was actually a great liar, but by now he had put out the bait. "I was asking about everyone at the academy and she ended up talking about you." he told him, lying as if it were the truth.

Caim tapped his foot. He had two options: believe the guy, or assume it was a lie. If he assumed it was a lie, and wasn't, he'd feel like an idiot. He hated feeling like an idiot. Despite having that thought in his head - "You're lying again," he growled. "Just tell me and get it over with!"
