The Institute's Garage

Nadia wiped her hands on her jeans and stood up from the squatting position she had been in. She had just fixed her bend exhaust pipe and was ready to go. She was just going to head to to town for a little bit, just to grab a couple things, then come back. She went over and picked her helmet off the ground.

scott walked into the garage "Wow... I still cant get over the stuff you guys have... Oh hay" he noticed her and waved

Nadia turned to face the speaker. "Oh, hi," she said smiling.

"This place is awsome...Im scott"

Nadia nodded. "I one-hundred percent agree, and I'm Nadia. It's nice to meet you."

he smiled "So you own one of these?"

Nadia smiled and nodded. She patted the Ducati 848 behind her. "Yep. This one's all mine," she said.

"Cool, So do you work at the school or are you a student?" he asked looking the motor cycle over

"Both," Nadia said with a smile. "I'm a student, but I teach mechanics."

"Awsome, Im new here so I kinda dont know alot of people"

Nadia smiled kindly. "That's alright," she said. "Have you gotten a tour yet?"

"Yeah ah rachel showed me around... " he looked at all the vehicles

Nadia nodded. "Cool, Rachel's really nice. Uh... Welcome to the Institute," she said. The welcome part was a little late on her behaf but... better late than never?

he smiled "Thanks...Hay is it true your government here has a thing about mutants registering?"

Nadia nodded once, her smiling all but disappearing. "Yeah. But it's nothing." She shrugged and leaned against her bike, setting her helmet down at her feet. "Just to see where everyone is really. It's no big deal. I registered on my way back here and they didn't do anything."

She knew that the Government had different reasons for the registration, but she wasn't going to tell the guy that yet. The registering wasn't an issue unless you made it one.

"Fuck that. Ive only just moved to this country I dont want a label slapped on me"

Nadia smiled deviously. "Then don't. You don't have to register, they're just asking that you to." Her smile went back to normal. "So, where'd you come from?"

"Im from australia...Parents kindly asked me to F off afte I accidently blew up the kitchen"

Nadia nodded. "Austrailia, cool. Sorry 'bout your parents being ass holes though."

"Meh I vented it for a bit makin bushfires etc then decided I wanted control"

Nadia nodded again. "Makes sense. Isn't that what we all want? Control? So that we don't have people give us reactions like your parents..." Her mind wandered until she shook her head to clear it. She looked at the floor and took her glasses off to rub her eyes. She looked back up at him and smiled softly. "You picked the right place to come to..."

"Yeah...The people seem nice... So" he was out of conversation material

Nadia nodded. "Yeah, the people are really nice... understanding too..." She realized that he was out of conversation, but she had a question. "You said that you blew up your kitchen. How exactly? If you don't mind me asking..."

"Oh sorry I control flame...Well try, I think its called pyrokenisis but yeah I wasnt thinking in the kitchen cooking turned the gas on and Bam blew the kitchen up"

Nadia smiled brighter. "That's kick ass!" she exclaimed. "Just don't set the garage on fire and everything'll be good... you know... several cars...lots of gas..." She laughed and then stopped and looked at him. "That is kick ass." She paused. "Not blowing the kitchen up but the fire part..."
