meeting the new student

Rachel sat in the main courtyard files lay all around her as she read each one carfully , she sighed as she looked around , "why am i doing this" she asked herself "for my father?"

Josh nodded, rubbing the back of her head gently. "Want me to carry you back to our spot?" he asked her.

Rachel shook her head "no I'll be fine" she said standing up she still held on to him feeling her legs were like jelly "sometimes i wish i didn't have this" she said

Josh let her lean on him whenever she needed to. "I'm proud of my powers...But then again, my powers don't always go out of control when I get angry."

Rachel sighed "but mind do" she said as she sat back on the sand "and sometimes it scares me that i can't control them"

Josh sat next to her, now realized how great she looked in a swim suit, but tried to shake it form his mind before she could hear it. "Er, maybe you could practice control over your powers."

Rachel looked at him an image flashed in her mid that made her blush "Erm.. thank you for the compliment" she said "could we not talk about powers right now" she looked at the water, she pictured her and him splashing around in to , once again sending it unknowingly to him.

Josh blushed knowing that she had heard seen his thoughts. Then he saw hers. "Uh, do you want to get in the water now?" he asked her, assuming she had no idea she had projected her thoughts.

Rachel looked up at him " yea , please I need something to get the feeling of that man off me" she said giving a shiver as she stood she brushed the sand from her legs waiting for him to stand

Josh stood up with her, as they walked into the water.

Rachel stood for a moment before diving into the surf coming back up she brushed her now wet hair off her face now smiling "that's better" she said looking for Josh

Josh came up behind her and splashed water at her, smiling.

Rachel laughed "Hey!" she said laughing as she splashed him back "got you back" she said grinning.

Josh laughed, splashing her some more.

Rachel dove under the water coming up close to him "now this is what i call fun" she said floating close to him.

Josh chuckled, splashing her some more grinning. "I love you." he said, then blushed as he realized what he had said.

Rachel stopped for a moment "why did you say that" she asked "we only met this morning"she said as she floated in front of him reaching out she took hold of his shoulders to steady her self

"Uh, it was nothing..." he murmured, blushing deeply now.

Rachel looked at him "it must have been something" she said " I like you too, but my record with men hasn't been the best" she said thinking back to Caim"

Josh sighed. "I don't mind..." he told her, he was still a little embarrassed about his outburst.

Rachel shivered in the water "I thought a man i met thought of me , i guess the way you do but .." she sighed "for now just friends, some how i get the feeling that's all we'll ever be."

Josh felt like his chest was empty. He seemed to think about it, his eyes clouding over.

Rachel looked at Josh "Josh?" she asked slightly worried at his silence"you ok?"

Josh kept looking down. "Y-yeah, I-i'm f-f-fine..." he told her.

Rachel looked at him puzzled reaching out her hands she touched his cheek "some things bothering you, you forget i can sense it" she said gently making him look up at her , she sighed before she spoke "Caim and my self are friends nothing more, he has never shown any interest in me but as friends, not like i sense from you" she said

He looked happier, looking up at her, smiling. "I...don't know what to say..." he said, not sure what he could say.
